Mommy Ann’s Mango Chutney

Mommy Ann’s Mango Chutney is a tribute to Ann Lee MacNeill (“Mommy Ann”) who developed this chutney recipe many years ago by using the Haden mangos from trees in her Coconut Grove, Florida garden.

Indulge in the vibrant flavors of summer with Robert’s Grandmother’s Mango Chutney.
Ann Lee MacNeill (“Mommy Ann”) crafted her homemade recipe from sun-ripened mangos plucked straight
from her lush garden in Coconut Grove, Florida.

Robert remembers summers as a teen spent in Mommy Ann’s kitchen learning the method of her chutney
recipe as he helped measure, dice, simmer and stir, surrounded by the enchanting scent of Caribbean spices
in the air.

This family recipe, cherished over generations, not only preserves the taste of treasured memories,
but also brings a touch of nostalgia to every meal.

Enjoy it with family and friends and savor the taste of tradition in every bite.

We had the Mango Chutney with grilled chicken. I’ve never had chutney before, so now I know what I’ve been missing. What great flavor! It took our chicken to a whole new level! Mommy Ann sure knew her stuff!

  2. Malcolm

Wow! What an abundance of flavors! We used it over grilled chicken. What a fantastic kick it gave it!

Your Mango Chutney is unique and delicious. We are both accustomed to “Major Grey’s Indian Mango Chutney,” and use it as a spread on a sandwich, like mayonnaise. Yours is more like something to eat on your plate along with roasted meat or chicken. I love tasting the different fruits and nuts in it. It was very good with pork loin and also on a turkey sandwich. We eat a lot of turkey burgers and we will be having it again very soon!

    This has great balance!

Wonderful layering of complimentary flavors and textures…

  6. Angela – Ft. Lauderdale

Add to pop a flavor to whatever you are serving. I have been known to spread Mango Chutney on toast. Makes for a delicious breakfast or snack!

On July 4th, I made a pork tenderloin with the Mango Chutney – it was a huge hit!
The mild sweetness of the Chutney paired perfectly with the saltiness of the pork. My only regret was
not making two tenderloins, the one did not last long and everyone was left wanting more!
